Description: This is a great image/photo editor. GIMP is still probably better in terms of features and community size, however I like the ease of use and install of this one better for windows and Paint.NET is gaining a lot of momentum. (I use Photoshop so I don’t use this a lot but when I need a free one I look to this).

Description: Simply the best download manager I have come accross. Very well developed and completely free. I have used this with XP and Vista and it works great. I highly recommend this download manager (especially when most of the free download managers out there are adware).

Description: Windows just wouldn’t be the same without this utility! I have used it for years. You can keep a handle on all the hidden unwanted background services that get installed when you install applications, such as Quicktime, Acrobat Reader, etc. Just a great startup manager over all!

Description: A very well written utility for anyone who has to deal with colors in code. There are a lot of great features, the most I have seen for in a color picker even those found in the enterprise applications like Photoshop. Very well done Sam!

[Multi-Monitor Taskbar] – Oscar’s MultiMonitor Taskbar

Description: A simple and solid task bar to help organize your task bar so that when you have more than one monitor and you move applications from one monitor to the other it will appropriately move the task bar item over for that application to the other monitor. It also has a very handy clipboard monitor and selector. Very well done. (I ended up buying Ultramon which is much better but pretty expensive for a utility like this, though for a free alternative I haven’t come across one better than Oscar’s).
